Obrovac Wind Project

This 54 MW wind project is located in Obrovac, Croatia about 20 kilometres inland from the port of Zadar. It is sited on an elevated area and benefits from good wind conditions. Construction of the first phase began in June 2013.

The project is split into 2 phases. The first phase (42 MW) is fully operational and received its energy licence at the end of 2014. It was constructed using 14 Vestas 3 MW V90 turbines.

The second phase (12 MW) should be approved once the allocation from the grid quota is confirmed.

The project was developed by EnerCap's Croatian development team in Zagreb. Financial Close was achieved on 12 June 2013 with EUR 50.56 million of debt financing (over 15 years) from UniCredit Bank Austria and Erste Group Bank.
